Initially producing electric motors, WEG started to expand its activities from 1980 on, with the production of electroelectronic components, industrial automation products, power and distribution transformers, liquid and powder paints, and electro-insulating varnishes.

Along the years, the high quality of WEG products has received certificates from several international certifying entities. WEG's quality system was also certified the ISO 9001, by BVQI. This development is due to WEG's principles which value the people as the basis for the success.
