Carex, S.A. is a family owned and operated charcoal manufacturer located in the province of San Nicolas, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Production is made through an adequte selection of different species of hard or semi-hard woods, such as white quebracho, red quebracho, itin, garabato, guayacan (guaiacum), etc. The use of these woods and a proper follow-up and control of the carbonization in furnaces allow the achievement of optimal chemical and physical properties that in turn yield a quick and easy fire start and longer burning time. Our product is distributed in different markets around the world. We adapt the packaging to market demand (i.e. palletized bags, loose bags small and large with a range in various kilo capacity,70% is shipped this way). Our goal is to continue producing a charcoal with a quick fire start, long burning time, and an organic product free of pesticides, additives or preservatives.
