Message :	Basically, I get what "sustainable wood" means- more to do with forestry management and replanting 5 trees for every one cut down.Questions here are about MDF/particle board as they relate to sustainable: *What does this phrase actually mean when a furniture manufacturer says "made from sustainable hardwoods and veneers"?* Does MDF/particle board fall within the definition ? I can purchase furniture on line. The ones that require some assembly cause me concerns I'm getting MDF/particle board furniture at a dear price. Sight unseen or only from a catalog, how will I know I'm buying real solid wood furniture?* [Furniture made from particle board and MDF falls apart after only a few years if it gets moved for cleaning or moved from one residence(s) to another(s). Moving companies will not guarantee their moving job and repair what falls apart if it is MDF/particle board.They specifically write exclusions on the moving contract.]
